Ginnie

This page is dedicated to a great woman, my mom! She was diagnosed with advanced cancer in August 2006. She passed away February 3, 2007.

It is a great loss to our family and all who knew her. She was truly special! Intelligent, kind, giving and always a smile! She was a great mom and an even better Grandmother! It was such a joy to see her interact with my daughter, Brigette! I am so grateful that we were able to spend so much time together the last few years.

Some of my favorite pictures!

Chemo and radiation took their toll.
But Mom was still smiling!
Always happy to be with the grandkids!

My mom had symptoms over a year before her diagnosis. The doctors dismissed her pains because she had always been healthy. Please, if you feel something is wrong with you or a loved one, insist on tests being done and rule out serious issues before a doctor can dismiss the pains as "anxiety" or "acid reflux". We are the only ones that can be an advocate for our health care and push doctors for answers, not pills.

Each day is special! Remind yourself daily of who and what matters most to you. Focus on feeling good and spending time with those you love!

Regular exercise helps us to:

  • Release Stress-so we can be patient with others

  • Increase Energy-so we can play with our kids!

  • Prevent Diseases like heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes

  • Every little bit of exercise or just movement throughout the day helps!

Mom always said, "Live by The Golden Rule-treat others as you would like to be treated." Her extra thoughtfulness and selflessness each day, brightened the lives of countless people! Thanks, Mom!

Make the most of each day!

Thank you to all those at Saunders-Dwyer Funeral Home for doing a wonderful job of putting us at ease and helping guide us through this difficult time.

    Mom compiled this fascinating book!

We were planning other projects before her illness.

Those will be on my agenda too!

Mom, you are forever in our hearts and minds.
